English: Translated from a site about local mosques and edited: The mosque is located in Beykapısı Neighborhood and has six inscriptions. Unfortunately, the name "Black Musa", who built the mosque and gave its name, could not be found in the inscriptions, because every person who repaired the mosque placed his own inscription in the structure and had the previous inscription removed. Thus, in this mosque, as in many old mosques in Urfa, the old inscriptions were lost. In fact, a person named Kara Musa had the Kara Musa Mosque built in 1552. In the western part of the mosque an inscription under the window states that it was repaired in 1747 (Hijri 1160), but the name of the repairer is not given. In the last congregation place (son cemaat yeri) inscription is stated that Abdurrahman Çelebi, son of Muhammed, had the mosque repaired in 1671 (1082 Hijri). In the western door inscription of the mosque courtyard and in the western inscription on the minaret base is stated that it was repaired by Firuz Bey in 1780 (Hijri 1195). The south door inscription in the courtyard of the mosque states that Hacı Firuz Bey had the Red Mosque (Ulu Mosque) and Ağ Mosque (Nimetullah Mosque) repaired, built fountains in the city, and finally had this mosque repaired. The date of repair is given as 1780 (Hijri 1195). According to what the people told, there was a huge fountain with a fountain in the courtyard of the mosque and the children of the neighborhood used to swim in this pool. This pool has been removed. There is another inscription on a column in the mosque, placed upside down and not making any sense. It was probably brought from another building and placed here.
